Hello, Warhammer devotees!
A new Age of Sigmar FAQ is upon us, and it brings a mix of emotions - a bit like that moment when you've just painted an exquisite new model, only to accidentally knock it off the table. While we delve into some much-needed adjustments, there's a tinge of sadness as we bid farewell to some old friends.
The FAQ is spread across four downloadable PDFs, covering the Kharadron Overlords, Blades of Khorne, Hedonites of Slaanesh, and the General Handbook. There are some noteworthy changes, primarily nerfs to the Hedonites of Slaanesh, with a bit of tidying up for Khorne and Kharadron Overlords.
Let's start with Slaanesh - the changes are nerf mostly :/ . The Hedonites have not really been a dominant force in AoS, but these adjustments aim to even the playing field. The nerfs might sting for Slaanesh players, but they promise to bring a more balanced and competitive game for all so wait and see.
The Blades of Khorne and Kharadron Overlords have also seen some changes. They are primarily clean-up in nature, providing clarity and consistency to the rules. These adjustments should make for smoother gameplay and fewer debates over rule interpretations.
But here's the part that tugs at our heartstrings - the removal of Forge World models from AoS matched play. It's a hard blow to those of us who have invested time, effort, and love into these magnificent models. Though we understand the rationale behind this decision, it doesn't make parting any easier.
Also note that Regiments of Renown are now on the list...
So long Dread Saurian and Khorne Dragon :(
Bob.
